Webinar: Local Government Reorganisation (LGR) – Insurance challenges for councils and how early planning can help

Local Government Reorganisation (LGR) presents a complex landscape of operational, financial and legal change for councils. The transition to new unitary structures, or the disaggregation of existing authorities, will reshape organisational asset bases, risk profiles and service delivery models. To support councils through this change, GCA and Zurich Municipal are co-hosting an expert webinar focused on the insurance and risk implications of LGR and what this means in practice up to vesting day on 1 April 2028.
Working through these challenges is not a task for insurance teams alone. Successful preparation requires insurance, risk management, procurement and finance colleagues to work closely together.
The webinar will explore:
