The Strategy, Policy and Governance Directorate (SPG)
Our goal is to facilitate effective leadership to help us achieve better outcomes for our customers. We do this by:
- helping to implement our strategic objectives
- making sure government policy operates effectively
- coordinating and driving effective decision-making
- acting as the guardian of those decisions
Our teams
We are made up of 4 teams:
- strategy team: coordinates and communicates strategy
- governance team: back office administration for executive and non executive governance boards
- CEO office team: supports the Chief Executive and manages the ministerial, Cabinet Office and the parliamentary engagement team
- policy and legal team: ensures we deliver government commercial policy, remain compliant with procurement legislation and manages legal risks
